Yeah, I live in a city and mask usage is pretty infrequent now.
I took the bus recently (no mandates anymore for public transit, ugh), and the busdriver had his mask over his mouth but not his nose. Like, whyyyyyy
In germany its "at least" mandatory in public transit. But a lot of people don't even do that anymore.
Masks should’ve always been required on busses in the first place tbh
TBH, if we ever get to actual post-COVID/post-pandemic, I think I would consider continuing to wear masks on public transit and other high-density environments anyways.
Masks should be mandated everywhere, but at a minimum, they should be mandated in public transit, grocery stores, doctors offices, hospitals, etc.--i.e., places where high-risk people have no choice but to go to, or might not have any alternatives.
and people wearing masks on their chin.... you go out of your way to wear a mask in a society that is now indifferent/hostile to mask wearing and then wear it in a way that is both pointless and uncomfortable... :abby-exasperation:
Very stupid. One of the dumbest things I've noticed at my workplace too is people getting sick with non-COVID communicable diseases again. That just didn't happen last year. Coughs echoing in the hallways which I haven't heard since pre-pandemic.
