Hence why the president should just forgive the loans. No application, then if the courts get mad, they can just respond, what are you going to put millions back in debt?

I would again like to remind everyone that, due to a decision by the scotus itself, it is perfectly legal for the potus to declare those judges to be terrorists and shoot them in the head in broad daylight and there's fuck all anyone can do about it, thanks obama.

Yeah if the gop wants to shitcan it the scotus will just say "lol nope" and scribble a bunch of dicks on the opinion because the law is whatever they say it is now. Potus should still do it, and then have them all shot bc they said he can legally do that if he wants.

Even if this supreme court looked at it, I would be surprised if they turned around and said that the department of education has no power over its own debt/lending and must collect on its own loans. It would essentially be stripping power from the executive branch which they won't do.

It seems like a gas station offering free snacks, and getting sued by their own customers saying "No! You have to charge us for these!"

There are some lawsuits launched against this but hopefully the courts move to slow to stop it. After the face it seems like it would be difficult to undo

I'm like 90% sure that since they're suing the feds the potus could just instruct the DoJ to say "lol get rekt losers!" And deny them the right to sue. There's some clause or something that says the government can just arbitrarily decide if you can sue or not. Biden has all the cards, and all the cards are aces, he just doesn't want to play his hand.

Lathe says that loan forgiveness will go through and then be blamed for the upcoming recession.
