Very few vegans start off as vegans from childhood. So at the very least they are in their twenties when they become vegan, having had all their life on an omnivore diet previously.

The human body is very resilient. So people can go many years, even decades, living off their reserves gained from their non-vegan years.

“Reserves”?? Reserves of what :agony-shivering: I’d love to know what magical substance (which you can only get from raw meat) this idiot thinks can be reserved in the body for decades. Radiation?

this dipshit is probably confusedly thinking of :b12:, which im told your body does keep enough reserves stored to last a few years before you have real deficiency issues if you go vegan and never supplement (which is why those celebrity exvegans who have the sob stories of "i went vegan for a week and died from lack of b12" are so full of shit). the irony also being that most b12 in animal products comes from supplements fed to the animals anyway

The human body is very resilient.

imagine saying this and not thinking it raises just a couple of red flags that your diet is constantly making you shit blood and putting you in the hospital for bacterial infections
