(x2 points if they’re rude to me)
(+5 points if they have metal folding chairs)

what are your clues a restaurant will be good?

The prices on the menu are crossed out and taped over with revised prices over the years. There is a permanent layer of grease covering the walls and everything that isnt the chairs and tables. There are 400 items on the menu but everyone only orders 3 different things. The child of the owner is doing their homework on the table in the corner. The decor has not changed since 1970.

This only applies to HK cafes.

Second this. Strong indicator of quality.

When it's a combination deli and grocery

Like a pho restaurant where half of it is Asian spices, mixes, noodles, candy, etc. There's a pile of durian next to a stack of Daikon in a fridge in the back.
