What if somebody pointed out that the tech sector was just financial capitalism buying the silence of the “Western Proletariat” (labour aristocracy) by getting those workers to accept huge salaries for new and comfortable tech jobs where they can do nothing productive and get great perks, in exchange for only two blind eyes to fascism? Where did all that surplus money come from - is it because the tech workers were so smart?
What do those tech workers actually do? We all know the answer. Not much. They can’t. Tech exists to keep the petit-bourgeois striver classes occupied, colonized, and profoundly counter-revolutionary.
Software is expensive because they need to buy all of our souls. Yes, all of the software, all of the managers, all of the computers - it’s almost like it’s broken and frustrating on purpose. It’s a make work project, at scale.
The real value came from the blood the tech workers sucked out of all of humanity, which they commodified, quantized and dehumanized. Was it a painless bite, is that how you were able to do it? Why is Bill Gates obsessed with mosquitoes, again?
The smartphones, the advertising networks, the visual imagery, the social media - all of these technologies were used to further exploit and divide the people, to suck their blood, to turn them into fascists. That’s where the value came from.
