Apparently the democratic party sucks but we should vote for them anyway and it's your fault if democrats lose.

It's accurate to say that the neoliberalism of the Democratic Party has been creating and exacerbating conditions that fuel right-wing engines. But at certain times — which definitely include the next two weeks, through Election Day on Nov. 8 — electoral battles come to a decisive fork in the road. We will be living with the consequences of this crossroads for the rest of our lives.

What's their plan for restoring abortion rights? What's the plan for voting rights? What's the plan for protecting trans people right now? What's the plan for a living wage? What's the plan for net zero carbon in 10 years? What's the plan for convincing millennials and gen z that their grandchildren will be able to survive on the surface of this planet? What's the plan for housing the growing homeless population? What's the plan for healthcare as a universal right? What's the plan for ending inflation while achieving full employment?

The real gaslighter is someone that tells me to support a party whose leadership endorses pro life candidates against a backdrop of Roe v Wade being overturned. The real gaslighter is Nancy Pelosi saying we need a strong republican party every time she appears in public. Good news Nancy, you're about to get your wish!

With how important the left apparently is to the likelihood of democratic success, maybe they should throw the left the occasional bone?

They have the parliamentarian and the court. Interfering with that institution would damage its legitimacy and it's already illegitimate so we need to just let the supreme court do whatever it wants, in order to protect the institutions and the norms. Ultimately it's pointless to vote because these unelected officials will not approve any reforms to the system but it's still the most important election of our lives and you need to :vote:
