The finale was actually ok. Really goofy but that's what I'm into. The quality of the last few episodes have been a lot better than the past few seasons, shame it's just as Jodie Whittaker is leaving.

13th doctor is forever soiled though because she defended space Jeff Bezos. Also that terrible and inexplicable episode about Rosa Parks that was filmed in South Africa.

I mentioned Yaz to someone I know the other day and they said the Doctor doesn't "do romance." Yeah except 3 of the past 5 Doctors have been married to River Song and they kissed on screen all the time. Complete cowards at the BBC

honestly, I have mixed vibes about the whole thing.
in a way I feel like it would be more transgressive for the character if Jodi was shipped with a man, as The Doctor has really only shown interest in woman before.
at the same time there is something kind of biologically essentialist about that maybe, and there is an argument that The Doctor being into woman as a man versus as a lesbian would be "new".
although I don't think they would ever dive too deep into any of this.

Jodie Whitaker did or was it some cringe bullshit the writers put into the show?

Horrible episode where the doctor mediates a labor uprising at a space Amazon distribution center and ends up siding with the corporation. Extremely bizarre and out of character.

Jodie Whittaker herself deserved better and she did the best with the material given to her.

I think she says the line "the systems aren't the problem" at one point
