I've been downloading TrueAnon's backlog, and grabbing the most recent Chapo stuff just because some sarcasm will make for good company on the road. What else you guys listen to?
I'd love some good spooky podcasts, or just really interesting / informative stuff.
Contemplating re-downloading all of Blowback and listening to it all for a third time.
The 3 part Dollop eps on John Brown and the 4 parter Aaron Burr are pretty good. The end of the John Brown one gets me all teary eyed.
Sadly I'm 100% caught up on the official hexbear podcast
I know it's a frequent recommendation but the only spooky adjacent podcast I've ever gotten into was Last Podcast on the Left. They have a solid assortment of episodes about alien / monster sightings.
We're Not So Different is fun and has a new Halloween episode about ghosts and ghouls in the medieval era.
I had a similar run of long road trips over the summer and what kept me entertained for the long journeys was just listening to Hell of Presidents - each episode is two hours long and you get to hear a semi-coherent Matt Christman dunk on US presidents and history
what's his maximum coherency level these days? admittedly i love hearing his esoteric marxist rants but i wonder if semi is as high as it gets
Alice Isn't Dead is a horror story about road tripping/long-haul trucking
Oh No Ross and Carrie is about investigating quack medicine, spirituality, fringe science, and claims of the paranormal
Unfortunately they're both made by libs and they both have commercials
Well of course I'm going to recommend our leftist car podcast for a road trip: https://rss.com/podcasts/carsandcomrades/
I'll also plug our friends at the Turn Leftist podcast: https://soundcloud.com/turnleftist/
And the other podcasts that we've collaborated with on "Fuck It, We'll Do It Live":
Collective Action Comics Podcast: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/coll…cs/id1573028630 podbay.fm/p/collective-action-comics www.patreon.com/collectiveactioncomics
Decolonized Buffalo: open.spotify.com/show/5HNK0mWbkbxoynVEKwgvVC podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/deco…lo/id1530454129
The Intervention Podcast: theinterventionpod.buzzsprout.com/
Horror Vanguard is a good show, I would especially recommend their episode on boss baby.
I like Radio War Nerd for long drives. Those guys are like the professors I should have had.
Maybe some true crime series? They can keep you engrossed.
Invent The Future, the Proles Of The Roundtable sequel podcast is still good if you haven't listened to that yet.
Trash taste podcast for general banter? You learn about Japan, and all the sorts of weird niche things you could only learn about thr country if you live there.
