Today's the day I put the extra furniture I need for this place together, so that'll be a bunch of fun. Though I can post some links here and there in the rest breaks.
Links and Stuff
Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists, for the “buh Zeleski is a jew?!?!” people.
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict
Add to the above list if you can, thank you.
Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)
Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.
Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.
Telegram Channels
Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Last week's discussion post.
🇩🇪🇺🇦🇷🇺The German army turned out to be "naked" after supplying weapons to Kiev
According to army inspector Alphonse Mayes, the Bundeswehr remains "simply naked" and is in "free fall", as more resources are being withdrawn from the troops than are being received.
The chairman of the Bundeswehr Association, Colonel Andre Wustner, in turn, said that weapons are being sent to Kiev from the army's reserves without the possibility of restoration

i suppose NATO demilitarization in Europe is a silver lining to all this aid

What’s the news there? Is Germany going to respond by increasing military production (a thing that famously goes well for all involved) or is the talk that they’re just planning on shrugging and deferring to America about what to do when they run out of supplies?

How are they gonna increase it? lol. The Euro are f*ck so it’s mean that it will be more expensive to produce, and the gas situation is not sort out either.

Demilitarization AND deindustrialization? Morgenthau is getting his way after all!

Classic “weapons gap” propaganda to justify more expenditures
A little bit of propaganda yes, Germany is not sending anywhere near their top equipment, NATO is demilitarizing a little bit but not entirely and headlines like that are simply clickbait or rather propaganda.
But that is not to say there is no effect either, if WW3 broke out today certainly NATO would be weaker now than 12 months ago, the question though is whether this difference is big enough already and my answer if far from it.
Maybe they won't have the resources to repress the strikes, then. Can only hope.
