Today's the day I put the extra furniture I need for this place together, so that'll be a bunch of fun. Though I can post some links here and there in the rest breaks.
Links and Stuff
Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists, for the “buh Zeleski is a jew?!?!” people.
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict
Add to the above list if you can, thank you.
Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins
Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)
Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.
Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.
Telegram Channels
Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Last week's discussion post.
I've been wondering how the DPRK is going to start advancing economically again. My knowledge is incredibly hazy, but it looks like a convergence of events in the 90s (USSR and its aid dissolving, enormous famine, Kim Jong Un doing fuck knows what) cost them terribly. With China somewhat discreetly ignoring sanctions and Kim Il Sung seeming to have a good sense of planning, plus their nuclear weapons program largely out of the "development" phase, maybe things can start going okay for them again. If Russia actually starts trading normally with them it's going to be a huge accelerant to an already hopeful process.
The possibility of unrestricted trade with Russia will be a huge positive for the Korean economy. If there's one thing Korea needs it's foreign trade and Russia will be able to supply them with everything from minerals to industrial products. Russia might also see the possibilities in investing in Korea whose economy has been woefully underdeveloped due to western sanctions.
As for the nuclear weapons programme I fear that Korea will have to spend a huge part of its income on defense for the foreseeable future.
PS: Kim Jong-Un is the current leader of Korea. Kim Jong-Il was his father. Kim Il-Sung was his grandpa.
Good to hear that the future is looking brighter. I blame uncaffinated me for fucking up the names, thank you
