I should also add that as far as I'm aware, Makhno himself was not antisemitic (although the more I read about him, the more my opinion of him sours), but at a peak size of 30,000, Makhnovists were largely unorganized, and some groups committed hate crimes, and Makhno did not do enough to stop such occurences. I have also heard that some of them were infiltrators from other factions, and other murders were committed by said parties.

Gotta read widely on this one. Liberals, commies, and anarchists all have their fair share of bad takes on Makhno.
