if the EU was actually democratic for example they wouldn't have fought about it when the British voted to leave

      the EU is democratic.

So democratic that it's only three countries calling the shots

I wish Qaddafi was still around. I'd feel a lot better about the post-election reaction if the US left had a bunch of surplus soviet machine guns and self-propelled artillery and shit.

Europe's got its own financial blob that's been gobbling outward from Berlin for the last 40 years. But their colonial frontier has contracted and their domestic markets are running out of cheap natural resources to chew through.

Ukraine/Russia is just the beginning of this shit. I really have to wonder how long before the Turkey/Greece conflict goes hot again. Or at what point the Germans/French/Italians decide to do a formalized mass pogrom aimed at the swarthier parts of their population. Or Poland just decides to start popping off against one of its neighbors in a Thomas Friedman inspired "Well, suck on this!" moment.

When you know the mythological origins of the name "Europa" it all makes sense. :sus-soviet:

Europe has to be one of the least democratic places on earth atm. How many of these leadership coalitions have anything close to 50% popular approval?

This is on a painfully high number of levels of detached treat-brained irony. It's supposed to be a joke when confronted with a big "unless..." clause. :very-intelligent:

Yeah it's not irony when it's actually serious.

This is the exact same as the content the fascists churned out in the past where they could say "Why are you mad it's so obvious that it's just a joke!" to anyone who criticises it while snickering to each other and saying "Yes, this is exactly what we want." in their own spaces.

Yeah it’s not irony when it’s actually serious.

I agree. They will still call it irony if the company they're in isn't as receptive to the serious message. They're cowards.

Like me when I say we should guillotine the tories and the people around me raise an eyebrow so I have to say "JOKE HAHA ....unless" afterwards.

The difference is you are actually in mortal danger more often for saying such compared to the average cryptofascist who has a friend in the police.
