Gotten at least 3 so far from different "voter participation" type organizations, this is the only one even from my state
I love living in a "battleground" state :dean-smile:
Do you know who's putting these out? I'm honestly unsure if this is voter suppression from the chuds or extremely poorly thought out "please :vote: " from the libs.
Its a pressure cooker for sure.
Republicans threatening you if you do vote. Democrats threatening you if you don't vote. Can't imagine what this will do to someone already confused and terrified, but it ain't good.
I'll be writing in lots of funny things this year, only fun part of this nightmare
:you-are-a-serf:
All the dems who were on the primary in the deep red state that I live in fit one of three categories, "Pro Life", "Crypocoin Bros", and "Very very religious". To which I point out, trying to run on a conservative platform in a conservative state already running Republican conservatives is only useful if you're just trying to funnel election funds to the national level DNC type groups.
:yea: the furthest left candidate in my region is buttigieg-adjacent
This is honestly fucking crazy, I don't know whether to chuckle or weep. I have never seen anything like this (possibly the benefit of living in a town of less than 100 people). Although I had one Bernie door knocker, LMAO.
Shifting my focus to view the Democratic party more as a fund raising organization has helped me rationalize a lot of this, I used to be baffled by the fervor over elections and voting.
I think my county had little 25% voter turnout last general election and honestly good on em.
Yes. Here's the Collin County, TX website
Requesting Voter Lists
Voter registration and voter history is public information and is available for purchase upon request. There is no record of who each person voted for, merely who voted in which election. For a primary election, it does show which party's primary a voter participated in.
All voter registration lists are exported from our Voter Registration System, which contains only Collin County Voters. The export is a tab delimited text file which can be saved, then opened as a text file or in Microsoft Access or Excel.
Phone numbers and email addresses are not public information and are not included in the list. The list will however, contain each voter's county and state ID numbers, registered and mailing addresses, all districts the voter is registered in, registration dates, and voter history.
That one billboard in Alabama but it says “VOTE or the LIBERAL DRILLER will get ya!”
I got one of these and I'm definitely not in a "battleground" state. Very weird shit.
