We'd be in the same spot in Ukraine with Trump as president. Funding the war is a bipartisan effort; GOP criticism of it is just for the hogs. And of course there would be no meaningful, principled Democratic opposition if Trump were in power -- look at how Democrats "criticized" the Iraq War under Bush, and then how they kept it going under Obama.
The things Trump did that Hillary wouldn't have are (1) take the U.S. from diplomacy with Iran to the brink of war, twice I think, and (2) go to the DPRK and salute one of their generals. On the latter, it's where noting that pretty much every other diplomatic olive branch to the DPRK has come from Democrats.
Edit: He also axed a bunch of Obama-era rules that allowed for more travel (and maybe more trade?) to Cuba.
