Twitters bumming me out
And other guerillas, don't leave the rest out!
:mr-snrub: Well wouldn't you know it, I'm a Maoist Guerilla! Send some cash to me!
I think it would be quite corking to give that money to the local Communism concern
and of course we have to put 10% aside for the landlord tip
Yeah for now but there's all these little niche communities that won't know where to go
It is objectively funny for the time being though, yes
If you're in them start advocating for lifeboat sites now, learn r/CTH's lesson
Yeah it's funny for sure, but I've curated some small communities over the last decade or so and it will be sad to see them go. Restarting from scratch is going to be painful.
This sounds like when forums started dying in the late 00s, but at least forums were built with the goal of creating a community. Twitter was always built with the aim of providing a dopamine rush and making money while stealing private information. Twitter was always going to die at some point because it never cared about its users. Same goes for all the other big social media websites. Hopefully you can find a way to keep in contact with the people you have found on there.
He's working on a game and has more contacts at this point than likely anyone that has ever existed
It’s also amazingly easy to set up a Mastodon instance using masto.host or whatever else. We could build our own Twitter if we wanted to. Just sayin.
Its easy to set them up. Relatively difficult to grow them and accommodate all newbies.
Theres a white south african dude here i think
Dont hold your breath
at least @ the comrade god damn
@aaaaaaadjsf you coming into an emerald mine inheritance or something?
No inheritance is coming yet, I'm sorry I can't make hexbear devs work 80 hour weeks and fire them all while stealing all the donations. You're all
safedoomed because of this. But just you wait until I get my hands on Jan Van Riebeeck's treasure, then hexbear will finally be saved!!!But seriously nah, I'm broke af, go from gig work to unemployed, have health problems and am living with friends and family.
