I think about his books, movies and games. I really do wish he had more of a shot in game development because Undying was a brilliant timeless romp. Jericho is filled with the generations flaws but there's something to find in that game, if not much it had quite the artistic design.
If i was to pick a book to be adapted it would be Abarat. Something about the world design and art makes me want to see it in real time

I seem to recall really struggling and ultimately relying on a single character and funneling all enemies into a single choke point where I could take them on one by one.
This was a long time ago and really is hazy at best on my mind. I'd be morbidly curious to give it another shot today just to see what was up.
You're not wrong the game is a chore to play even on easy. But it lives in my head, i even have a steelbook edition
