Narcissists feed on inducing a reaction. It doesn’t matter what kind, aggravate you, please you, create drama whatever, they don’t care. They are vampires that feed on attention.
They crave attention, they crave drama, they crave validation, anything that makes them feel like it’s about them somehow.
Grey rocking is when you behave just like a grey rock. You react exactly how a dull grey rock would react. You give them absolutely nothing, which means they move on to feed on someone else.
Don’t give them anything, even avoid eye contact. Minimize responses to the bare minimum. Do not let emotion show in your voice or eyes or body language. Be a grey rock.
