They won't be famines. They'll be opportunities to disrupt the stagnant agricultural industry with a new pricing model that respects the value of a calorie in a free market.
more shortages this year for sure and then worse next year, when shortages become famines is your call
What shortages do you think we will have? I don't know anything about agriculture.
hard to say, my guess is we'll see at the very least a significant increase in the price of meat considering how badly iowa's corn got hammered. otherwise I'm concerned primarily with more processing/distribution problems due to another covid spike later in fall and winter; that could affect a lot of foods pretty badly. Add any more crises and the food problem will get worse: a few militia blockades etc would throw the whole thing into absolute chaos
any politically cool organic/small-scale farms near you that could use free labor? making yourself a familiar friendly face among food producers is always a good idea, plus you can learn about agriculture
Honestly I have no idea. I live in the city and while I know there are farms around here, I think they're mostly big money farms as land is extremely expensive in central maryland.
That's not a bad idea though, as you might remember from the discord, I love the idea of farming but I know literally nothing about it, even growing house plants lol.
Oh no worries. Here, I've found a letter from The United States. See? Kosher.
we are tag-teaming the discord and chapo.chat with content i see
