For me it's gotta be HR people. It is likely confirmation bias but most HR goons I've met have been the most smug, slimy, and self-satisfied little shits.

Some good answers here. I'd also add those in health insurance, specifically the ones whose job it is to deny claims or otherwise make it difficult to receive care.

Agreed, the higher ups at private insurance companies are soulless nightmare people. The doctors and pharmacists who work there are even worse in a way, arrogant and detached. I don't even see how you could be a doctor working for an insurance company.seems like it runs contrary to the hippocratic oath.

Has to be middle managers right? They enforce the capitalist hierarchy in businesses but are still part of the working class in that they need to perform labor for a living.

I have an axe to grind with these souless, spineless shits who will step all over employees for a headpat from Big Boss and comparitively meager rewards (re: CEO’s and shareholder profits, anyway).

99% of tech. Unlike HR/management, where class betrayal is the job description, tech can be used to do good things. Its just more profitable to build the torment nexus or remake some website 4 times a yeat

Biased bc I'm in tech but I think only like 80% of tech is on that level. Torment nexus builders, defense contractors, adtech, fintech, and anything involving the blockchain are filed under "decidedly evil"

Remaking the same website 4 times is like, a waste but no more evil than any other menial job. Some tech jobs are even morally neutral

You're right that probably 1% at most are net good though

Genuinely radicalizing to me, I've been extorted by the parking fascists too many times. One time they just put my shit on risers, didn't even tow it, because they knew I'd be back and they could coerce me into going to get cash to pay them. Another they towed it out of the parking lot I pay for because I was in the wrong part of it or some bullshit. I hate these motherfuckers with every fiber of my being.

All of my answers are just different forms of cops.

CIA: defenders of capital abroad Property managers: first line of defen ce for real estate

Middle managers: first line of defence for human capital

    Etc

Outside of that, anyone that works in advertising.

Security guards at grocery stores. They exist to take food from the hands of the hungry and imprison them for being desperate enough to steal baby formula.

Honestly the security guards at the grocery stores I've been at have mostly seemed like just people doing the absolute minimal to watch the front of the store and monitor and deescalate for any actual violence or harassment (unfortunately usually from homeless and other very hard done by people with mental illnesses). My experience was that loss prevention who watched the security cameras from their offices and stalked and chased after people were the real villains. I guess these roles may overlap depending on the store though.

Marketing, especially the managers. They're all shits, and if they've been around long enough, they've definitely been involved with weird, exploitative, and spammy shit.

I know you mean a certain demographic of small business owners that are actually bourgeoisie but hide behind the "small business" tag.
