Hello comrades and welcome to the third improvement megathread of April! There are nine more days left until the end of the month, which is plenty of time to get stuff done and make some progress.

As usual, some discussion ideas:

  • Do you want to share something you've done in the previous week? Everything counts, nothing is too small.
  • Do you have any goals for next week?
  • Do you have any streaks? For example, "sober for one day." Feel free to post your streak every day in this thread.
  • If you don't have a continuous streak, did you manage to abstain from something for a day or more?
  • Did you come across some useful information or resource that might help others?

Good luck with your goals unity

I know it's not a super ambitious goal, but I want to read more books again. I started 'Bloodlines,' which is a Warhammer noir novel. I'm not expecting anything mind-blowing, but just getting back into reading books again is a good thing for me. It doesn't really matter that much what I'm reading, as long as I'm reading something once in a while.

That's a great goal, I would also like to read more books. There are a bunch of books I want to read but it's really hard for me to find the time. I'm trying to prioritize good habits like getting enough sleep, cooking healthy meals, running etc, so I have very little free time. But I would like to carve out at least 20 minutes a day for reading, that would be awesome

Carmen McRae's version of Skylark is amazing (the entire birds of a feather album is, too).

This week I went running on Tuesday and wanted to go again on Fri/Sat but my lower back started to hurt really bad so I couldn't go. My back is fucked up in general and I'm fairly sure that I have anterior pelvic tilt so I want to do some exercises to fix that. Next week is gonna be fairly busy so I won't be able to go running on two days but I'll try to go at least once.
