I just watched that recent Nat Turner Rebellion film, Birth of a Nation. The pacing is wonky but every time he killed all whites I soyfaced.
I will not subject myself to watching birth of a nation so I will simply assume whatever you say about the film is false. Owned.
This is a new one made in 2016. They used the same name as the KKK one but it's glorifying Nat Turner instead. The name choice really backfired because I assumed it was an update of the KKK one.

See that's the thing. Going into it you think "Oh it's like a serious version of Django Unchained. This will be good". But then the scenes are paced so quickly and unevenly that it feels amateurish in a bad way. It was trying to do the whole Roots-scale storyline in a two hour runtime. Solidly average film.
