My cousin owns a burger place in my small podunk hometown and he's exactly like this too, although he's somehow also big into Any Rand. He's fired employees for speaking Spanish. He complains about paying anyone above minimum wage.
One time he cornered a worker and tried to bully her into joining his weird evangelical church. She said she would, probably just to get her boss off her back, but apparently never showed up on Sunday so he fired her too. He keeps firing teenagers, who are the only people willing to work for him, in a town of less than 1000 people. He's literally run out of teenagers in the town to fire.
If the kitchen only speaks plain midwestern english the food will just be okay. If they have any other mayo accent it's gonna suck, and if it's french I'm going to throw up.
The people in my hometown are one of three things: evangelical snake handlers, klan members, or trying to leave asap. They either think my cousin is a good upstanding racist or they hate living there so much they leave as soon as they turn 18.
