seriously we may either see two things that we don't see frequently in the states soon. either
an actual armed, semi-coordinated group does a mass shooting. 3 or more people. the police basically bail and they either escape or
an actual street gunfight erupts between fash fucks and some kind of community defense group. this could also occur as a result of#1. the police are no where to be seen. i'm talking like a 5-10 min sustained firefight involving cover, shooting from behind vehicles, wounded being dragged off, footage looking like a warzone. if the community and/or left side decisively wins the firefight expect the police to suddenly appear to violently arrest or slaughter the defense group, but only IF (and a big if) they are small in number or wounded/messed up.
either way we hear news about years of lead: usa or american "troubles" for a week or so until the next one
The only problem I have with labeling something like this as "the troubles" is it means a exchange back and forth of attacks (so far it's been fash on the offensive not having to worry about retaliation in their meetings/events if they actually even do any meetups as many are terminally online till they pop off). So then will there be any lonewolf or semi coherent militant leftists shooting up a fash event in retaliation?
that's why i said "the media will label it as.." not that I agree. they'll call it the beginning of some civil war when it will mostly just be right on everyone else violence. anything to cover for the right. if the federal government does anything at all it will be attempt to quietly take out the ringleaders and scatter these groups or buy them off rather then risk having the population as a whole tilt leftward in response to this stuff.
True, the media will obfuscate it and if any leftists attempt any type of defense will be seen as "leftists arming for war" or something else stupid. For me it's that by definition this is more of the same rightwing fash terrorism as seen during the height of the civil rights movement (given that LGBTQ rights is a new but equally important aspect of societal rights and self determinism that the rightwing will not abide).
the FBI will suddenly be useful and stop every leftist lonewolf before he can even write a corny manifesto. They're never gonna let their pool of informants and recruits die
In the IRA's war on the occupying British forces they had clear targets and goals; British troops, UVF paramilitaries, cops HVTs like Thatcher or Mountbatten.
