I think that what pisses me off most about this article. He's framing fear of killbots as some reactionary Luddism, but there's no new technology here. Just the same shitty combat robots the army's used for two decades but now for the police too.
Even if it was truly new technology, there's a level of gaslighting built into the idea of "if it's new, it doesn't matter if it might hurt you or people you care about, it's new so don't be a Luddite. Bazinga!"
