I don’t think it would even be controversial in all but the most loudly fascist circles to say that a cop covering his badge # should immediately be fucking fired

If I see a cop covering his badge that should be grounds for self defense if I doohickey his Roblox and he's Dead by Daylight

then you would have to fire all the cops at once, because they all do it and it's accepted by leadership and allowed

      Look on the bright side

“He failed to identify himself as a police officer when he tried to violate my rights so I shot him”

I know no court would agree and the cops would kill you before you got to court anyway but this is exactly how it should work. If that badge number is covered, as far as I’m concerned you’re not a cop, you’re just some dude in body armor attacking me, I’m standing my ground.

The same should be true if they don't have a bodycam on and operating. A little harder to tell by sight, but if they can't produce body cam video of the arrest then it's no longer an arrest but a kidnapping.

When I first saw it - I was certain people fell for a fake. I assumed it was an AI image / photoshop confection with a possibly real photo caption as misdirection. But I googled anyway. And it turned out to be real. The info is in the self text.

lmao it's so over the top, he looks like a mean joyless cop who gets repeatedly outwitted in slapstick ways by a band of plucky teenagers

Fortunately, this means they also get arrested for cheating at college:

Six officers “claimed they earned college credits toward degrees, when in fact, they hired people to take classes and exams for them,” U.S. Attorney Ismail Ramsey said. The officers conspired to defraud their own police departments, without putting in work attending classes, Ramsey said.

I found it by googling his helmet number. Google is great for once.

I thought about posting the site at Bluesky too. But I have hardly any followers and I had a hunch some self-righteous libs might report it. I've gotten way to used to posting here and at reddit. Corporate sites that do their own moderation are shit.

I haven’t seen footage of the protests yet. I’m curious what tactics people are using, because if they’re just marching around by themselves it’ll be much easier to get picked off. I’ve seen it in 2020. Also people scattering when cops run towards them which makes every person in the crowd vulnerable. Even for dog brained american cops who are itching to kill will be hesitant if the crowd is absurdly large and hard to breach

I don’t know how big the crowd was, but Emerson is a pretty small school. 4100 enrolled students, so it’s hard to know how many are protesting.
