The post is also sus because if you look at other discussions, there's 2 other uploads of the same video with the same exact title (I'm assuming 'hash truth' is supposed to be 'harsh'? if so then they made the same exact misspelling). But it's not the same account. Each one is a different username who uploaded it. Wtf.
It's weird because you often see more left-leaning stuff in this sub, like pro-Palestine vids. But Reddit does lean reactionary, as we all know.
What do you think? Astroturfed or no?
Also this dude's argument reminds me of what I read in Ibrahim X. Kendi's How To Be An Antiracist where he recalls, in his his youth, being convinced by white supremacist America to find fault in his own culture and blame it all on himself and his black peers, and trying to assimilate and distance himself from it, rather than seeking liberation.
Damn, he's obnoxious. I hated those patronizing 10-second pauses almost as much as the idiotic racist apologia he was vomiting. I don't know if it's astroturfed, I definitely know a lot of civility PoC with this self-hating, defend kkkrakkkers brain rot. Dude said racism isn't real because a White lady was nice to him once. What the fuck? Yeah, no one said White people can't be nice, man, that's not what people mean when they talk about racism. I'd attribute all this to his ignorance but at a certain point ignorance can't excuse the malice this enables.
But the post to r/Wholesome is the original post and has the typo "hash", then it was crossposted by other users to different subs but they weren't able to edit the title from the original post so the same typo continued as it was crossposted to different subs by others.
Someone using an anecdote to make a point and thinking it means anything is showcasing serious symptoms of brain rot.
