Elon's ten pounds of stupid in a five pound bag. But he's operating as a mouthpiece for some seriously fucked up folks that really do want more and more blood in the streets.
I don't think they're "making a mistake". It may look like to us that they are just wasting their time on easy battles to make them feel good about themselves, but they paid attention to hopper as kids.
EDIT: Even if it's the right that outnumbers the left, they still know what they're doing. Back during the latter part of my Gamergate bazinga days, I was mentioning that we "beat the SJWs", we always do, and therefore we should stop obsessing over them and just play our games or worry more about freeing the markets. Needless to say they mocked me for not fearing this harmless irrelevant group enough.
