My sister’s favorite western cartoon is Avatar. She recognizes the themes of war, racism, and colonialism.
My brother’s favorite movie is Avatar (James Cameron)
They’re both racist conservatives lol. My brother is even a Reaganite even though he never lived through his presidency. ( I feel like it’s one thing to be a fan of historical figures you’ve never lived under like :lenin-sure: but Reagan is a modern figure lol).

It's "too good" because they're insulated from anything which would disprove it. As material conditions in the USA get worse, it'll be evolve-or-die.

I once showed a goofball colleague a youtube video of an Indonesian guy on vacation in the DPRK. It was footage of some streets in Pyongyang. My colleague was claiming the DPRK is basically a wasteland with people starving everywhere, basically living in the middle ages technologically. He said they've probably never even seen a car before.
So I show him this footage of a street in Pyongyang, and it looks like a lot of places in Asia. People walking around, buildings, bikes, cars, just normal life. A van comes into frame with a DHL logo and he says "Oh, there. Right there. There's the fake." I ask him what he means and he says, "I've been looking for where the video is faked. That van is CGI. I can tell. This whole video is shot on greenscreen, probably by communists in China to make North Korea look good."
I showed him that the company DHL on their website lists the DPRK as one of the countries they do business and he still doesn't believe it. Just absolute lead brained stubbornness at this point.

It seems like they used to deliver to the DPRK, because they're removed from the DHL site now. I'm guessing they had to pull out because of covid restrictions, but DHL's been there since 1997.
I can't find the exact video, but this one is pretty similar to what I remember. Also, I'm so jealous at how clean Pyongyang is. No billboards, no advertisements, no McDonald's or KFC everywhere, everything's pleasant and there are wide paths for bikes or walking. If this were an American city, that whole street would be littered with drive-through fast food or a wal-mart or something else horrible. All the imperialist nations should feel ashamed for how they treat the DPRK.
It's only freaks like us who do actively seek that sort of stuff out.
That's what I'm saying, it doesn't matter what people tell them because they haven't had to live it.
