She said she offered Mr Brown a refund for the mistaken order and as she and Mr Brown were walking outside the restaurant, Ms Smith allegedly took a swing at the manager.

What's up with Americans and going completely apeshit at fast food joints when the treat dispensers aren't working??? Trashing the place, assaulting employees or even just straight up shooting them :what:

The only "rights" Americans really have anymore are their right to consume and be served when they're clocked out. Therefore when they clock out they become treat monsters and no longer empathize with their fellow humans. Also false consciousness. Also petit bourgeois mindset. Also intoxication.

exactly. manufacturing/construction/domestic resource extraction workers think theyre above service workers bc they have higher wages and they use le wholesome machine to produce ebic commodity. but at the end of the day their relationship to production is very similar. then you have PMCs who are 10x worse

Yeah but like... It's just fucking fast food?

This shit is practically unheard of over here. The worst stories of fast food I've ever heard are usually about what they have to deal with left behind in the toilets.

this probably won't answer your question, but my first two jobs were customer facing fast food jobs. I was young and dumb, but even way back then I decided I couldn't do this work because like 20% of customers were unhinged.

they walk in mad, hungry, and absolutely spoiling for a fight over the cheapest scraps of meat. eager to scream at a 15 year old on their first day in the hopes that a manager would give them freebies.

of course a ton of people are very friendly and patient, but those aren't who we remember.

Waffle House is a special place. My local one is next to a liquor store. The liquor store is open till 1 am and has bullet proof glass between you and the cashier. The Waffle House is open all night.

This reminds me of the Steers and KFC next to each other over here. The KFC has steel cables across the counter so you can't climb it and get into the kitchen, burglar bars on the drive though and thick glass. The Steers is just, well a Steers. And a hub for all the Uber eats drivers now.

It's nice to know that every community has their own special version of a Waffle House. You gotta have some place to go for wild times and greasy food at 3 am.

Waffle House isn't where you go when your straw bale is full that's for sure.

I think that's really it. You've got so many people who are living their entire lives on the absolute edge of cracking and it doesn't take much of a push for them to break.
