Full of gems like: "Don’t dismiss their anger and pain. For people who consider themselves progressive, the war in Gaza with its high civilian casualties can create a strong sense of turmoil, disillusionment, frustration, and even stronger emotions like fury and disgust."

How to know if you're progressive?

  1. Does the genocide high civilian casualties of brown people frustrate or disgust you?

Here's the article if you want to lose some brain cells https://thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p/biden-gaza-israel-2024-election

This article seems so close to getting it, then decides that it doesn’t matter actually and they’ll definitely be able to convince anyone who has uttered the term “Genocide Joe” to vote for him anyway.

But this rarely works because 1) in their mind, nothing could be more evil or harmful than genocide

How can someone possibly write this and not second guess themself? Yes, genocide is indeed pretty much the most evil thing.

I seriously want somebody to ask a notable super-lib like Takei - how much suffering and genocide would it take for you to stop supporting Biden. 75,000 dead - plus a corresponding number of injured and missing which means probably dead? If not that then 100,000+? 125,00+? 150,000+?

I assume that he has American exceptionalism brain even though he and his family were put into a Japanese internment camp.

        not him

Sympathy is so simple. Just look at those poor people and how they are suffering.

Empathy is anything but simple. I could be one of those poor people.

It will never fail to amaze me how many people are pathologically unable to move beyond sympathy. They have a defective or nonexistent sense of empathy and I don't think it can be mended.

They always take this preachy, condescending tone like they're lecturing a child about right and wrong.

Liberals, please understand : not everyone shares in this idea that you should get to assume a moral high-ground by default, especially on the issue of minimizing an ongoing genocide to try to pressure people into voting for a candidate that is shitty even aside from their material support for that genocide.

Liberal proselytizers come across as deeply repellent in general, and this behavior only makes it worse.
