Lol it's really funny they bought their own propaganda and wasted a bunch of money on security that apparently didn't do anything.

The subtext to this statement is, "We harassed a lot of black people in our stores for no reason and now they won't shop at Walgreens anymore."

lots of the anti-BLM crowd were quoting the walgreen's theft claims (which were claims they produced no data or further elaboration for).

With misinformation, all you have to do is find a bigger kulak to make the claim, and they all follow it like that cool NPC meme they invented.

The cost of the security was higher than the potential theft, and they didn’t do shit.

The company made investments into private security guards, but they've proven "largely ineffective," Kehoe said.

Uncritical support to ineffective security guards

:rat-salute-2: When I did concert security I took pride in never taking away anybody's drugs, no matter how poorly-hidden.

Do they really think most people being paid 15$ an hour tops are going to risk anything at all? That job is a resume builder lol no one cares about walgreens

Thinking back to when my local liquor had a security guard installed and all the guy did was sit in a chair playing on his phone.

Can confirm their experience. A guy I dated was a guard for a car dealership during closed hours. He was required to be on his feet for the duration. Yes, they would check the footage. He said it was the most torturous 8 hours of boredom combined with physical exhaustion.

Standing on your feet on marble floor for 12 hours straight no breaks is absolutely brutal, my first year was a lot of that and obviously worse.

Once i found a post that was chill and remote (no one was checking on you) i stuck to it like glue . The place could have been burned down and i wouldnt have cared.

A lot of neolibs were absolutely insufferable when the original story came out and was ripping off their masks to scream about crime waves and the need for more cops.

Also absolutely beautiful quotation, compliment to the journalist. Sending this to some libs in my discord right now with giddy.

Most business execs are literally just someone's racist uncle. They absolutely drink their own koolaide.
