DAE remember “treat discourse”
Removed by mod:yes-chad: “Why yes, anything that isn’t essential for human life is a luxury and thus a treat. The human only needs 1000 calories and a liter of rainwater collected from the gutter a week. Clothes are a luxury and thus a treat. All humans should live naked in hivecities and use each others body heat to stay warm to cut back on building insulation, which is a treat. Think of all the nuclear weapons we can make to further the goals of the revolution by just cutting back on treats like furniture. Of course I get to have treats because I’m the commissar and I need these things because I do okay, they are not treats when I have them. Is the internet a treat? No. Are personal computers/cell phones a treat? Yes. How am I supposed to use the internet if the devices for it are treats? Simple, you use one of the many communal terminals available throughout your hive city. Can I play Tetris/make memes/watch pornography? No, definitely no, surprisingly yes, pornography is not a treat and thus absolutely halal. Is air a treat? Absolutely, regulate your breathing to an acceptable level or the beatings will continue. Is living itself a treat? The essential lifespan that is not a treat is 30 years old, Logans Run rules, boomers get the wall. Living beyond that is a treat and puts strain on the medical system. Is overthrowing the people calling basic human necessities a treat a treat? Having thoughts of your own is mental illness, think of nothing, think of a blank space, do not put anything there, it is not a canvas, submit yourself completely to the machine that you are a cog of. You are the collective, we are the hive mind”
:wojak-nooo: ”I just wanted to get coffee at Starbucks!”
I find it hard to not take part in this, because I lived for almost 2 years where my only regular expenditures were rent, 20 dollars a month for my phone, and just enough groceries to bake my own bread and cook my own dry beans. Much of the time I was literally eating gruel; $1.20 for a 6-pack of ramen still strained the budget way more than $4 for a 10-pound bag of potatoes.
So many things feel like splurging now, but I guess it's okay to enjoy good things in life.
No I do not remember. I was too busy walking around my neighborhood and trying to read a few pages of my books
We need to change this to "treats are bad" https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rgDBID5G5yk
i remember. Are we supposed to continue the treat discourse or just say whether or not we remember?
I was thinking maybe we can get the discourse to swing the other way to the point that this site approves child labor for luxury production just so that they can do a 180 from the you vill own nothing sentiment.
We all played fallout new vegas, Hegelian dialectics, take two opposing concepts, mash them together, synthesis!
What is forbidden is the most desired. Forget champaign, who needs caviar, what I want is a struggle session that results in a 1k replied thread, multiple year old account bans, and an official mod statement on the issue.
It does not matter what the issue is about, for anything can be made an issue, for it is the debate that get me hard, as in my penis.
oh look the covid denialists think they found a way to launder their bullshit :antelope-popcorn:
Treat discourse is correcting "a little salami as a treat" to "little a salami as a treat", right?
All i know is that i dont have to listen to any of you and that im the best
