Looks similar to maidan? Do they have any funding to drag this out?

Maidan's success was contingent on the fact that huge quantities of money were poured into the protests to keep all the people from going home, food stalls, places to sleep and music/bands were brought in to ensure that things just kept on going.

No, the US is against this "coup". The military police have already arrested many of them, the Supreme Court and Congress have said they still support Lula. The president declared a state of emergency, and now the police are under his orders in place of the pro-bolsonaro Governor. Lula called them nazists and fascist so they should be treated as criminals.

Parts of the police and the military were on the side of the gov in Ukraine, until it was dangerous enough for Yanukovich to decide between staying and dying like gaddafi or fleeing.

The maidan protest leaders were nazis and fascists too. I think the right will try to play this the same way. They don't need the US if they have domestic millionaires/billionaires that will fund the right kind of help.

Most of the liberal (right-wing/center right) media, politicians and rich people sided with Lula during this crisis. The Brazilian army will not act without the support of the US.

It is very rare in Latin America for wealthy oligarchs to carry out a coup of their own free will without US support.

it is even rarer when the us is openly against, like the whole the us will stop all relations with brazil if there was a coup like that resolution from the us senate that sanders passed is a big DO NOT DO IT to the army also the DF governor making a video saying that he is sorry to lula for this day is kinda of a tell that this was less of a army and more of a governor thing

sorry to the denizens of the current Imperial Capital, but at least our governor down in Rioland was the one to 'request' federal intervention. it is clearly the time to move capitals back to somewhere more auspicious.

True, but you also gotta remember that many of them are just kulaks with no direct knowledge of foreign interference, so they just put money from their own pocket to fund a bunch of nut jobs because they think they can succeed with just money and no organization

the official government of the US is against this coup. But what about the government in exile :trump-moist: . Bolsonaro is hanging out in Florida right about now

Bolsonaro hangs out with Brazilian Gusanos, not even Trump cares about him anymore. I doubt Trump wants an international criminal with him during his election campaign.
