I've seen like 1 former marketing person who only enjoyed Ads that were actually entertaining or told stories. Here's a vid where he goes over good and bad ads, in his own opinion. His own opinion isn't that much though since he cheers for the NY Mets

I was in the subway the other day and they've set up what must be 100s of meters of LCDs on the walls of the tunnels themselves so when you look directly out the window you see a stable ad like a Zoetrope, and if you look at one of the windows in the front or the back of the train they give you an epileptic seizure :picard-direct-action:

The airlines probably hired all the smalltime pilots who used to fly this sort of advertisement off the back of a single-prop plane.
