Also a gender element there too. Anecdotally, I know several adopted Asian girls with cracka parents, and zero adopted Asian guys with cracka parents.

Incidentally, all of those adoptees I knew had really fucked up views on race since their cracka parents were insistent that racism don't real.

Was gonna say I know an asian man that was adopted, but then I remembered he's trans.

Reminded me of this thing my sister in law posted to facebook, about how the State of New York passed a law that babies that were born alive, but unwanted could be euthanized. They would be designated euthanizable by tying a pink ribbon around a toe. I guess so the janitor would know which ones to put in the trash? I also like picturing the State of New York conference committee debating the exact wording of the bill, and deciding on a pink ribbon. Yarn is also acceptable.

I never through about the business end of the industry. We have medical stuff, so we looked into adoption once and we were shocked how much money everything was. Which, kinda made sense because you want to make sure people can take care of a kid, but then it also kinda didn't.

I hope how people think adoption should be expensive. I'm deeply against surrogacy, artificial insemination, and fertility treatments, and people always say something like "but they can't adopt, that's expensive."(like all those other things aren't). And when I say I disagree with that too they just blow me off, like it's stupid to say I disagree with two things at the same time.

Yeah, cause like, kids don't get families. Families don't get kids. This doesn't serve anyone's interests except rent seekers and fascists

If I ever do have children, they'll likely be adopted. Are there any adoption orgs that aren't run by fascist freaks? Or should you look into foreign adoption? Or are those worse? It's a dilemma. You can either help a child and fascists profit from your compassion, or you don't and they'll molest and abuse the children at their care centers.

That's not a moral dilemma at all, If you don't adopt from the fascists that changes nothing, literally nothing for them, they operate as they have been operating. If you do adopt that it one less child they are abusing. I'm not culpable for the slavery involved in the production of the food I need to eat to live, it would not be brave and principled to starve to death. Just make one person's life better.

The system continues whether or not you join in. You don't make it worse by being there.

Look if there's an alternative that's fine, but if there was nothing it is 100% better for you to care for those kids than anyone else. If you find out they were snatched from their parents, you could probably try and amend the situation.

They stay there. Once a day an agent comes by to give them a Nutrition Bar™ and that's it. They are only allowed out once a month to change their bedding.
