I love how Biden implemented the Trump plan of "if we do less testing and reporting, the numbers will look better". Trump was too cowardly to do it, he only bitched about it on Twitter.

    Excess deaths were like 1.5M when we """officially""" hit 1M, it's probably pushing 2.5M by now.

      To be fair, some of the excess deaths were likely a result of climate change, inflation, suicide or mass killings, increasing bigoted violence, and supply chain collapse. Not to mention overloaded medical system. There's so much going on it's hard to say it's all just covid.

        in only 1 year's time?

        Other than maybe the supply chain stuff, everything else on that list is just gradual upticks, while the excess deaths were drastically higher. It's definitely almost entirely COVID-related

          Climate change has caused a lot of fires, flooding, and freezing. Especially in conjunction with the other things, this causes way more deaths. Covid leads the pack, but I don't think it's the only reason we have so many excess deaths.
