It is so important that we support each other in our work instead of viewing this as a zero-sum competition to climb the ranks. Everyone thinks the Posting Division is easy, since we created this website for practice, but I understand the struggle of finding your place. Reach out, ask for support, and be willing to help others in turn. We all succeed when the Bureau succeeds.

I think it’s important to look to what others are posting and follow their lead, rather than posting what we think a typical hexbear might post.

It’s a lot more owl posting than you’d think, and a lot less “I hate straight white men and want to kill them! Don’t we all?!”

It sucks because I finished last at the academy and didn't think I'd have much of a future. When they told me I'd be monitoring Hexbear they said "We only give this to agents we can't trust to wipe their own ass without accidentally shooting themselves". Sure that's happened a few times but I know, I KNOW, I can convince someone to commit terrorism. I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and I matter.

People think the Hexbear beat is a punishment, but really it's an opportunity! There is so much space to excel here if you know you audience and play to your strengths.

See that's the problem. I don't have any strengths and almost suffocated this morning trying to lick the bottom of a peanut butter jar. I want to succeed, sure, but sometimes I forget which hands are mine when typing and get confused.

Here's the thing: that's exactly the capacity of the average Hexbear user! Your weakness is your strength!

Aww, buddy, I'd do terrorism for you any day. Tell you what, next time the Agency is pulling a false flag, I'll let you take the credit for radicalizing our puppet.

Hopefully that community support stays strong. I've been trying to drink a bottle of water all day but I can't figure out which way is up and I'm so dehydrated.

No, we don't all succeed when the bureau succeeds. Fuck you people. I'm stuck assigned to this backwater site because I "fucked up" literally ONE TIME on the Mao's Angels discord.

We're in a really sad state of affairs when my super doesn't see the value of turning one potential arrest near Christmas into a dozen for the 4th of July because she needs to beef her personal year end quota for her own fucking career. And of course the bureau will shower her with perks and bonuses when it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that she'll be at a new agency with a 50% raise by the time the snow melts.

Honestly I really hope that these interest rate hikes or whatever trim some of the fat from this sector. We used to actually get shit done and now I swear everyone above me is just padding their resume.

It's sad to see how many people think this way nowadays... maybe I'm old fashioned, but the problems you describe are exactly because so many in the Bureau don't have that sense of community anymore.

You can be jealous of everyone who ends up with the CIA, jetsetting around the world and enjoying better dental coverage, but I for one appreciate fabricating terrorist plots in a 9-5 and then getting to go home to see the wives and kids.

Really appreciate the words of encouragement @jack

Btw do we have Monday off? I know it's a federal holiday and all but do we recognize it.

You know how important MLK is to our legacy. Of course we honor one of our greatest achievements as a Bureau.

Look, nobody is actually being forced to commit acts of terrorism. They're committing acts of terrorism anyways, because of the implication. They're all alone, alienated, economically and mentally depressed. The only option they have is to forgo traditional routes of political expression. Nobody is forcing them, but they'll still do it because of the implication. The implication that I am a friend pushing them towards reclaiming their personal freedom and challenging a system of injustice. I'm not asking them to do it, they're just doing it.

    Because of the implication.
