New Yorkers act like having a bunch of glorified 7/11's is somehow "culture"

NYC is a cultural center of stand up comedy, and by that I mean most NYC stand up comedian sets seem to be about praising, boosting, and congratulating themselves for being from NYC.

They can enjoy it while it lasts because their future is going to involve hard labor on farms upstate if I have anything to say about it

Been in the NYC area since the beginning of the year and yeah this is actually true. Kept getting told that it's part of "Spanish culture" when I've never seen them referred to as that in Guatemala.

Part of the New York City elitist experience is to assume the entire world is in NYC because it's that important and cosmopolitan and sophisticated and tough and street smart and cultured a place. :maybe-later-honey:

I was in NYC a few months ago and did not see a single bodega cat.

I was led to believe that they freely roam all over the city.

I always knew them as corner stores or mini-marts

But I grew up in the Midwest, so yeah, I'm an ignorant slop jockey
