A great time to be a Scottish nationalist. Both Labour and Conservative are led by accelerationists!

the scottish nationalists have been in charge of scotland for years they seem to have taken no steps to leave and also don't seem to have a plan to.

Probably petition to join the EU and be very slightly to the left of standard euro neoliberalism. Not as far as any Scandinavian country, maybe around Germany.

it has most of the UK's oil but the UK is not a major oil producing country. Most of the UK's oil isn't actually that much

there's still some oil there, and the eu is currently looking for it's next fix like an addict suffering from withdrawal after russia cut them off

the EU already has norway which produces 10 times the amount of oil and Scotland is a rural area that would be entitled to a lot of subsidies without much of a financial economy which is what the EU liked the UK for. Also it would massively complicate the EU's relationship with the UK and might therefore cost the Germans money

i didnt say it was a good plan, eu is hella desperate though. i seem to recall there were some problems that we're currently going through our emergency supplies of oil and we need to refill those during the summer or the next winter will be bad. we'll probably just bomb the middle-east some more though.

hell the plan is dependent on how the indepenence deal divides up national waters and if the UK keeps the oil rich parts of the north sea the whole thing is fucked

they seem to have taken no steps to leave

Aren't they holding a referendum this year? Like they're trying to get it approved but I thought they were going to do it anyway no matter what.
