Like there's no contradiction anywhere in here? Wine could be good for parts of your body while the dose could increase your chances of some forms of cancer and damage your liver longterm. This is like how medicines have side effects.

Oh yeah that's a great point. My whole childhood was steeped in scare tactic PSAs like that, starting from a very young age. The messages themselves could be relatively good (things like "don't play with matches" or "wear your seatbelt") or relatively dumb ("drugs are bad for you" and "stranger danger" come to mind) but I'm sure the graphic and horrifying delivery of "here's what will happen to you every time [presents worst case freak accident scenario]" messed a lot of people up (myself included)
