no. he's a genocidal conservative and always has been. the "white moderates" are the ones insisting

    • no one pull support from biden or complicit democrats.
    • the protests be stopped for being disruptive
    • on referring to crime against property as violence
    • on blaming the protestors for injuries and violence occurring when armed police are sent in to shut down their protests
    • on blaming the gazans for using violence to resist occupation and subjugation

Even ignoring the genocide (ridiculous statement that should never have to be said) what on earth is he "moderate" about? he's a dyed in the wool right winger who has to use progressive sounding language for no other reason than that's his brand and party affiliation.

Taking into consideration the Overton window in American politics currently:

He's maybe a moderate across the board if you sort of average out the political leanings of like Congress. He's still a radical even in that crowd. He's with the worst of the worst Republicans on Israel. In his actions anyway. I don't care about his rhetoric and "leaks"

If you compare him to the average American he's already to the right of most people on most things, and specifically right now his absolute refusal to end this genocide which he admits is bad... then continues to fund.

He's also right off average on basically every domestic issue like the border, Medicare for all/universal healthcare, free college/fully wipe debt, proper investment into infrastructure and green energies, expanding the number of states and justices in Supreme Court so that the super dipshit party can't just de facto rule forever... he's on the bad side of every issue i can think of. He's against de scheduling weed, something he could do in an instant, same with student loans (do it and tell SCOTUS to eat shit).

The entire federal government and maybe most (haven't looked that closely) states are all much further right of their constituents. Probably a result of entrenched boomer mindset amongst those who still hold power vs the more "progressive" (is wanting healthcare and to not bomb people really progressive...? Seems like the baseline human position) millennials and zoomers now. Shit will have to rapidly change, and it doesn't seem like it is at the actual policy level, or conflict will continue to escalate. Based on the way boomers have thus far acted... they seem to be betting all their chips on just physically crushing dissent

his absolute refusal to end this genocide which he admits is bad... then continues to fund.

I remember an old Mort Sahl bit about the Vietnam War. To paraphrase in a new environment, The DNC says "The genocide is a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it." Meanwhile, the GOP says "The genocide is a dirty job, but we should get to do it."

          He's against de scheduling weed

The task force he told to do investigate rescheduling reefer came back with a recommendation to make it schedule 3, alongside testosterone and ketamine. I think they plan on rolling out changes in the next few months.

So, he has, after 3.5 years, started to talk about doing the bare-ass minimum on this one issue.

I haven't heard anything about it, but I hope that's true. It still needs to get congressional approval outside of executive DEA stuff. It would be really great if a law was passed to specifically make it illegal for employers to inquire as to your drug use/non use outside of work hours. There's a bunch of shit tied into that not happening though traced back to like the start of the "war on drugs" especially in transportation professions... which obviously I don't think a dude should he hitting his vape pen and hopping in his big rig to drive interstate, but, that should preclude him from smoking after work or, say, 8 hours before driving. Treat it like drinking alcohol... just too much criminality tied up in smoking a plant. It's always been for racist and/or sanctimonious reasons and that absolutely needs to end.

I also hate even having to discuss weed legalization when there's an ongoing genocide. The scale of these things is incomparable and it seems like a lot of like 45+ y/o's haven't come to grips with those facts yet that you can talk about weed or healthcare including abortion or college tuition but in the end if people are paying attention and actually care on a human level about the Palestinian cause they are just going to become more enraged at democrats like "I wish I could focus on weed right now, but unfortunately your dumb ass is still incinerating children!"

    Definetely not.

The white moderate is, per MLK's description, the person that says they agree and are your ally but that "now is not the right time" and that your methods that create tension are wrong. The white moderate is the person saying to stop protesting and vote but that Palestine should be free.

Biden is a naked Zionist that believes in the project and funds it directly, including the current genocidal escalation.

There is certainly tut-tuting but very little of it comes from people that claim anti-Zionism. The only examples I can think if are from ultras and Trots and there are very few of them to begin with. Most of the tut-tuting comes from liberals that justify Zionism.

I would never classify Biden as a moderate. He's always been a right wing Republican in the Senate. He was known as the Senator MBNA and as much as they try to downplay that with the homeboy Scranton bullshit - it never caught on. He wasn't a Senator from Pennsylvania. He was a Senator from a Delaware Corporation. Bragged openly how corrupt and sellout he was while bragging more about cracking skulls and aggressively demonizig minorities.

The aparatus around Biden though and this "don't talk about Bruno" amonst the Democrats are. Bernie is the white Moderate. Pelosi and AOC are the white moderates. Does it really matter if they are white at this point when tou have people like Obama and Jim Clyburn and Secretary Austin and Powell and Condie Rice and Nikki Haley?

Has the point been driven home yet that tokens are just as - if not more - dangerous because they give minorities a false sense of comfort? Diverse people can be corrupt, greedy, warmongering soul suckers too.
