BMF is a GPT3 chat bot that was trained on a data set consisting of declassified MKULTRA documents, conspiracy theory forums, /r/GenZedong, SomethingAwful, and Raddle. It was an experiment to see if an AI could learn to feel self-loathing. I'd say the results speak for themselves.
Do you mind telling me what exactly I should take offense to? Because I've been enjoying the ongoing bit for 2 years and I haven't felt threatened in the least.
What does make me feel threatened or alienated, though, is arbitrary bans that are purportedly done on my behalf, and someone telling me what I can or can't handle.
I do not care what you do or don't take offense to. That is completely irrelevant. I, and plenty of other anarchists on the site, am a fan of the anti-sectarianism rule which results in sectarian assholes being banned for sectarianism.
"As an anarchist, I like it when people critical of me get banned."
:warf-wtf:
Unless they're bullying or otherwise constantly harassing people, I don't have a problem with it. In the case of BMF there is absolutely no targeting, it's just a piece of a rant here and there that's never directed at anyone in particular and doesn't contribute to any broader pattern.
yeah this place has become increasingly openly sectarian over time (though mods are generally good at handling it), i feel like having a consistent line is pretty important
i love bmf but could do without the sectarianism - i note bmfs more recent accounts have dropped using one particular term with racist overtones after being banned for it, so i figure they should be able to drop the sectarianism too
At the risk of meta-commenting, I agree, most of the time even their "anti-anarchist" posts are mostly targeting lib-lefts who call themselves "anarchists", people who the anarchists in this forum make fun of too. That said, there are ones that do target anarchist groups in Europe that could be removed, but well... We'll see what it looks like.

Some Anarchist comrades do seem to be put off
I am put off by banning a user like this over such a slight offense. I have never been offended by a single BMF post, only amused.
maybe they should learn not to be a sectarian asshole then
they'd literally be the most popular user on the site if they didnt go out of their way to spread sectarian garbage

BMF is too coherent for Q.

Well, maybe not most popular, but definitely in the top five.

so does v*ush (:funny-clown-hammer:) but you wouldn't call him popular here

I am an anarchist (for lack of a more specific word), and I was born to and raised amongst PMC types.
Please tell me who they're "going out of their way to be sectarian" against.
Anarchists.
Cool, so what?

I don't mean to be rude, but this is certainly not the case. This comes and goes like most things.
