Heroes of the Soviet Union
Yea medals are cool but what camo unlocks do they have for the mosin-nagant
a lot of women veterans got totally screwed by the Soviet government in the post-war period, and weren't able to receive the benefits or awards they were entitled to. President Kalinin literally told women veterans to shut up and not talk about their service:
"But allow me, as one grown wise with years, to say to you: do not give yourself airs in your future practical work. Do not talk about the services you rendered, let others do it for you. That will be better"
these women also received a terrible reputation of being "field wives" (essentially wh*res) for wanting to serve in the military, particularly other women accused then of this after the war. Their war contributions were deliberately downplayed in favor of trying to to do natalist repopulation campaigns. They didn't get invited to parades or get the attention they deserves until the 1990s under Gorbachev. It's a real shame and travesty.
My comment pointing out the lack of racial and gender diversity was censored by admins.
Let that sink in for a moment. "A line of white males...nobody say anything! Shut up shut up shut up!"
Did Central Asia experience the same or greater fall in life expentancy as Russia did, following the collapse/dissolution of the USSR? I know that your comment was made in jest, but it made me think anyway.
