The food theme for my next DnD session is "food on a stick." Any bright ideas? I can't think of a single thing. Next step is fooling around on the internet until I find something that looks interesting, but I thought I'd ask you folks first. Only dietary restriction is one person is allergic to pumpkins, zucchini, etc.

Edit: I knew you guys would come through! I have so many great ideas to look up and think about now, thanks so much!

Make caprese skewers, get wooden stick and skewer cherry tomatoes, those little fresh mozzarella balls (that come in the plasti tin in water), and a basil leaf til the stick is filled. You can drizzle it with olive oil too and a little salt and pepper if you want.

Swedish meatballs, caprese kebabs (any fruit + cheese tbh), frozen banana pops, street corn, cake pops, dango, fondue, whatever those chicken skewers from the chinese buffet are called, pretzel/donut dough wrapped around a stick before cooking + bring toppings

Literally anything soft enough to have a stick run through it without shattering. Grilled fruit, veggies and meat in some combination is classic. Cake pops/ lollipops/raw or candies fruit are normal desserts on a stick

They speak French in Haiti also. And Senegal and Belgium. Are all foods from these places French foods?

And OK. You don't recognize the proud united cantons of the Helvetian Confederation as legitimately sovereign. That's OK, even if it is almost certainly older than whatever shitty place you are from. But the part of the country fondue is generally considered to be from was never a part of France, so whoever's rule you do respect over it, the flag is still wrong. It's also the part, incedentally, that is not in the Alps.

I thought about phoning it in and bringing corn dogs, but the food is always excellent when we get together and I want to do my part. Kebabs don't seem very practical for bringing food somewhere else, since I'd have to either reheat them or just cook them there, and that would cut in to gaming time.

I like the idea of using pretzels for the sticks, thanks. I'll think about that.

Honestly a chunk of green apple with a dab of peanut butter and a pretzel stick jammed in there sounds like an awesome snack.

I think you should put normal food on a stick. Pasta and meatballs. Tacos. Stir fry. Apple pie. The less suitable the better. This is a "deconstructed" type dish except all the bits have to fit on a skewer, go wild.

People have mentioned caprese skewers and I'm here to back that one up. They're super easy, it's a light snack but gives enough oomph that it doesn't just make you hungrier. When I worked a convention center and made food for millionaire charity crap and whatever, those things absolute moved. Cucumber, tomato olive and feta on a stick wins too.
