Had anyone else heard about this?
A lot of backyard chicken farmers claim that their hens stopped laying when they were using “Producer’s Pride” feed from tractor supply. I’ve seen a lot of baking how the manufacturer (Purina) just bought the largest egg producer in the US, and even some flimsy Epstein connections.
My 2 cents: Now maybe they cut standards for ingredients and/or storage for their store-brand line and crossed a threshold for the hens. That’s just capitalism. The system squeezed fuel prices and everything else so capital tries to scoff up the ‘opportunity’ of inflated egg prices and probably scrapes resources off their other lines to get it done. They don’t need to have some plan to make the chicken farmers bend the knee, they’re just trying to gouge everyone that’s already buying them at the store.
I’d like to find some good data to help defuse some Q-curious folks in my life, so please share if you’ve got it.
I found some claims that this person is intending to do some analysis, but I haven’t seen anything published yet. https://www.naturalsciencejournal.org/Index.html
Chickens lay less in the winter. That's it. The rest is paranoid pattern-seeking.
maybe it being winter is the conspiracy. "seasons" / "axial parallelism"?
not on my flat earth diagram. this one goes all the way to the top.

I stopped buying any tractor supply food after their dog food killed a bunch of dogs
Honestly I wouldn't bother trying to reason with someone who believes this stuff, these kind of theories always start with "government bad" and then look for evidence to support that position.
Avian flu has been particularly bad and chickens lay less during the winter. There will be a ton of confirmation bias with chickens laying less than usual, or they started laying less earlier, etc. on social media. You will not hear much of anything from home chicken owners who are experiencing the opposite because they have nothing to complain about.
Overall, not sure if there's any merit to it.
But so many of these 'conspiracy' people go with "deep state take my eggs, want to force me to eat BUGS!"
Whereas I feel like if its true at all, the 'conspiracy' will be something like, the corporation changed the protein source to something cheaper and legally didn't have to tell anyone, and so tried to hide it as much as possible, and it turns out that new protein sucks. Or something.
Which is to say, basically what you said.
Though, Q-curious people are hard to counter, because all it takes if for them to say "thats part of the coverup, man!", and there's no countering that logic if the person leans into it.
Tell them that a company is legally required to maximize profit for their shareholders. Poisoning the feed so that they have to buy $10 a dozen eggs is the most American thing they could experience and they should eat their freedom eggs and salute the flag.
yeah, it was different enough to show an effect between the "same" (same logo, different weight, nutrition breakdown, etc) stuf from the feed store odwn the road and tsc three years ago.
