Had anyone else heard about this?

A lot of backyard chicken farmers claim that their hens stopped laying when they were using “Producer’s Pride” feed from tractor supply. I’ve seen a lot of baking how the manufacturer (Purina) just bought the largest egg producer in the US, and even some flimsy Epstein connections.

My 2 cents: Now maybe they cut standards for ingredients and/or storage for their store-brand line and crossed a threshold for the hens. That’s just capitalism. The system squeezed fuel prices and everything else so capital tries to scoff up the ‘opportunity’ of inflated egg prices and probably scrapes resources off their other lines to get it done. They don’t need to have some plan to make the chicken farmers bend the knee, they’re just trying to gouge everyone that’s already buying them at the store.

I’d like to find some good data to help defuse some Q-curious folks in my life, so please share if you’ve got it.

I found some claims that this person is intending to do some analysis, but I haven’t seen anything published yet. https://www.naturalsciencejournal.org/Index.html

Honestly I wouldn't bother trying to reason with someone who believes this stuff, these kind of theories always start with "government bad" and then look for evidence to support that position.

Avian flu has been particularly bad and chickens lay less during the winter. There will be a ton of confirmation bias with chickens laying less than usual, or they started laying less earlier, etc. on social media. You will not hear much of anything from home chicken owners who are experiencing the opposite because they have nothing to complain about.
