I'm not sure the sentiment is "Russia good." I think it's more just remembering that the last time NATO really had the workers of Russia cornered, western capitalists were so rapacious and depraved that they caused a major collapse in Russian life expectancy, which is probably the single most important metric for assessing values like freedom and quality of life. This happened in my lifetime. It was very confusing to watch (from afar) because there was so much mystification around it, but now it's clear what happened and that the worst people in the world want to do it again.

The stakes this time also include a chance to potentially destabilize China and undermine their fight against poverty, which is increasingly making them a moral leader for the global south proletariat. They're probably a greater threat to capitalist hegemony than the USSR ever was.

Also, I didn't watch the video. I don't want to see it. I just know Russian people, and I don't want them to endure another round of American psychopath domination.

Yeah. It's hard to believe that what they have in mind isn't half as devastating as what your bright smiling, dead soul, American technocrat has in mind. Which is why almost no one believes me.
