Various groups on reddit are trying to pin this as being a r/gamingcirclejerk brigade. There are a shit load of ops going on right now.
There have been no posts or comments on gcj encouraging this behaviour, nothing that would have caused a brigade, nothing at all.
From what I can tell this either came from elsewhere or was a completely organic situation where their own community of pro-lgbt people turned against them for playing the terf game. If you see people trying to claim this was a brigade, push back against it and make sure people understand that it's not at all surprising that a woke streamer with a pro-lgbt community might get a lot of negativity from their audience for playing the terf game.
Between this whole TERF game situation, the backlash against said boycott, as well as Trump call for trans genocide, I feel like there's a huge astroturfed push against trans rights in general, and these transphobic movements continue to be more extreme over time.
I remember that it started with "should trans woman be allowed in sports" bs debates, then it's about bathrooms whatever, and now we reached the point where people openly call for trans people to just not exist/to be forced to detransition.
