How can you only assume you’ll win? It’s not like democrats are willing to play dirty against republicans so there’s no guarantee either. You demand my unquestioned loyalty yet you’re so bad at politicking. Of course, I’m not here to pretend democratic politicians are weak or dumb. They’re just evilly indifferent.
This is what they want. If they have no backstop or supposed ability to hold back the worst depravities of the Republicans, then they can try to use that threat to extort support without offering anything real or concrete besides being a separate party from the Republicans while taking money from the same donors.
