she's since downplayed a lot of those events, like claiming she was manipulated into sitting in the anti-aircraft gun in that one famous picture. She's apologized to American veterans of the Vietnam war too, in 1988. She flinched and will continue to flinch.
Don't get me wrong, I really do like her and I mean it when I say she's one of the better liberals. She was friends with Huey Netwon and the panthers. But her third husband was billionaire Ted Turner. They were married 10 years. As much as I like her, there's no getting around it. She's a rich Hollywood liberal with boundaries, no matter how much she's pushed against them, which is honestly a shame. In another universe maybe she would have been something else.
Old reactionaries are still furious about shit she did 50 years ago so she's cool.
Can’t go on a single news article without a boomer vet seething about it. It’s quite funny.

What's extra cool is that there are, or at least were, millions of weirdos pretending they went to Vietnam for... idk, clout or something. So some of those boomers weren't even there.
Jane Fonda on the screen today
Convinced the liberals it’s okay
So let’s get dressed and dance away the night
While they kill kill kill kill kill the court
kill kill kill kill kill the court
kill kill kill kill kill the court
Tonight
I was trying to figure out how to Weird Al that verse! Great job!
